Key figures for China’s new grid-connected energy storage projects in 2023

In 2023, the total number of newly added grid-connected projects in China's energy storage market will be 935, with a total scale of 22.80GW/49.08GWh, an increase of more than 200% year-on-year. Standalone energy storage projects and renewable energy storage projects account for 50% and 45% of the total scale respectively. Xinjiang has become the largest regional energy storage market, with a scale of 3.22GW/9.81GWh.
