Expansion of China's solid-state battery projects in 2023

In 2023, there are 15 solid-state battery projects in China that have been expanded, including announcements, contracts and commencements. Among these projects, Weilan New Energy and Jiangxi Judian have started construction. The second phase of Weilan New Energy's Huzhou base solid-state battery project started in July 2023. After completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 20GWh of solid-state lithium-ion batteries. In August of the same year, Fuxin Technology Group Jiangxi Judian's annual production of 10GWh solid-state lithium batteries and PACK manufacturing and production phase I project also started.
