In November 2022, BMW’s sixth-generation power battery project was signed and launched in Shenyang Economic Development Zone. The project plans to have a total investment of 10 billion yuan and a planned area of 240,000 square meters. In May 2023, the project will officially start construction. It will be five times the existing power battery production area and will create 2,000 new jobs.
