Toyota and other 12 companies established the ASRA alliance to promote the development of automotive SoC technology

In order to promote the development of automotive SoC technology, five automakers including Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, and Subaru, as well as seven electronic component manufacturers including Denso Corporation, Panasonic Automotive Systems, Cadence Design Systems, Mirise Technologies Corporation, Renesas Electronics Corporation, Socionext Inc, and Synopsys, jointly established the Advanced SoC Research for Automotive (ASRA) alliance. The goal of the alliance is to use chip technology to develop the next generation of automotive SoC design.
