BorgWarner deepens cooperation with Xpeng Motors to produce motor rotors and stators

Recently, BorgWarner announced that it will strengthen its cooperation with Xiaopeng Motors in the motor business and will produce eMotor motor rotors and stators for the Xiaopeng X9 MPV and Xiaopeng's next electric B-class sedan, with production expected to begin in the third quarter of 2024. These products will be used in the Xiaopeng X9 MPV and the electric B-class sedan that Xiaopeng Motors plans to mass-produce in the third quarter of 2024. The Xiaopeng X9 is a large pure electric 7-seater model that offers single-motor and dual-motor versions with a range of more than 610km. BorgWarner's HVH 220 motor has advanced stator winding technology, providing 300kW power and a maximum speed of 18,000r/min.
