Ideal Auto's AI strategy focuses on L4 autonomous driving, striving to become the leading artificial intelligence company

Li Xiang, CEO of Ideal Auto, elaborated on the company's AI strategy at AI TALK, aiming to achieve L4 level autonomous driving and promote the application of artificial intelligence in the automotive industry, thereby transforming into a leading artificial intelligence company. The company plans to invest about 10 billion in R&D budget each year, half of which will be used for the research and development of artificial intelligence. At present, Ideal Auto's L4 autonomous driving technology is in the "my assistant" stage, and the vehicle can independently complete some tasks, such as picking up children. Li Xiang also proposed three stages of artificial intelligence development: "enhanced capabilities", "my assistant" and "silicon-based family". To achieve this goal, Ideal Auto is gathering top talents from around the world to build a professional R&D team; collecting and analyzing a large amount of driving data to optimize algorithms; upgrading and expanding computing platforms. At the same time, Ideal Auto will also combine Mind GPT large language model with autonomous driving technology to form a VLA model and ensure its leading position in the domestic industry. Li Xiang said that Ideal Auto's goal is to become an artificial intelligence company, not only to make cars more intelligent, but more importantly to make artificial intelligence widely used in cars. In terms of product planning, Ideal Auto expects a 50% probability of launching an artificial intelligence supercar in 2030. Li Xiang’s requirement for the team is that within China, the base model of the Ideal Large Language Model should be among the top three in the industry in the next few years; in the field of spatial intelligence, Ideal Auto should maintain its leading position in China.
