Intel divests Mobileye and IMS businesses, Altera follows similar path

Intel has previously spun off its Mobileye business for automotive chips and its IMS business for photolithography masks. Chief Financial Officer Dave Zinsner said this puts Altera on a similar path to Mobileye. Intel is excited about the future of both companies and believes that by providing them with separation and autonomy, it can enhance their ability to take advantage of growth opportunities in their respective markets and accelerate their pace of value creation.
