The Federal Reserve cuts interest rates by 25 basis points

The Federal Reserve decided to cut the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 4.25%-4.50%. The median forecast of the FOMC shows a 50 basis point cut to 3.9% in 2025 and another 50 basis point cut to 3.4% in 2026.
