BYD Lithium Iron Phosphate Provisional Tendering Situation

BYD decided to start the bidding for lithium iron phosphate on December 15, earlier than the negative electrode materials and copper foil, because the supply and demand contradiction was the most serious in the early stage. The bidding is expected to start on December 19, with the goal of opening up all purchases in the first half of 2025, which is about 400,000 tons. Participants include Hunan Yuneng, Wanrun New Energy, Fengyuan Shares, Anda Technology, Shengfan Technology, etc., and plan to increase prices by 2,000-5,000 yuan.
