India's Tata Group and Powerchip have cooperated to build a 12-inch wafer fab in Dholera, Gujarat, India. The total investment in the fab is 910 billion rupees (about 11 billion U.S. dollars), and the monthly production capacity is expected to reach 50,000 wafers, covering a variety of mature nodes such as 28nm, 40nm, 55nm, 90nm, and 110nm. This move will help meet the recovery of the memory market and the strong demand for high-performance computing and automotive applications.
