Quobly and STMicroelectronics collaborate to advance quantum processor manufacturing and explore large-scale quantum computing solutions

Quobly has reached a strategic cooperation with STMicroelectronics, aiming to use the latter's advanced 28nm FD-SOI semiconductor manufacturing process to achieve large-scale production of cost-competitive quantum processor units (QPUs). The two parties plan to launch the first generation of commercial products in 2027, mainly for application areas at the forefront of quantum computing technology, such as material development and system modeling. Quobly's goal is to reach the 1 million qubit mark by 2031, with applications in pharmaceuticals, finance, materials science, and complex system modeling.
