Hyundai Mobis starts construction of battery plant in Spain

On April 23, Hyundai Mobis held a groundbreaking ceremony for a battery system assembly plant in Navarra, Spain. The plant has a total investment of 170 billion won and plans to achieve mass production in 2026, with an annual output of 360,000 battery systems. Mobis will provide battery systems to Volkswagen, and the two parties signed a BSA supply agreement last year.
