LG Energy Solution in talks with India's JSW to establish battery joint venture

According to reports, two people familiar with the matter said that South Korea's LG Energy Solution is in talks with India's JSW Energy to establish a battery joint venture. The report pointed out that the joint venture between the two parties requires an investment of more than US$1.5 billion and plans to produce batteries for electric vehicles and renewable energy storage businesses. One of the people familiar with the matter said that the two companies have signed a preliminary cooperation agreement, LG Energy Solution will provide technology and equipment for manufacturing batteries, and JSW will make capital investments.
