LG Energy Solution responds to market competition and increases battery recycling efforts

In order to cope with market competition, LG Energy Solution signed a lithium battery recycling agreement with Australia's Envirostream on March 18 this year. The agreement is for a period of three years, ending on March 10, 2027. The move aims to recycle and process waste lithium batteries to reduce environmental pollution and improve resource utilization. In addition, LG Energy Solution is also actively developing lithium iron phosphate battery technology and cooperating with upstream material manufacturers such as Huayou Cobalt and Longpan Technology to strengthen its position in the upstream battery material supply chain.
