Tesla's new Model Y goes into mass production at Shanghai factory

Tesla's new Model Y at its Shanghai factory is already in production on the same line as the current model and is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2025. The new Model Y will be available in 5-seat and 7-seat versions, with the 7-seat version being exclusively for China. To boost sales, the current Model Y is being heavily promoted, with some models offering an immediate 10,000 yuan discount on the final payment and a five-year interest-free loan.
