Baowu Magnesium Industry accelerates capacity expansion

Baowu Magnesium is in a period of accelerated capacity expansion. The company currently has a capacity of 100,000 tons of raw magnesium and 200,000 tons of magnesium alloy. Its subsidiaries Wutai Yunhai and Chaohu Yunhai were both selected in the list of standardized enterprises in the magnesium industry announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in November 2020 (the first batch). The company is building a new 50,000 tons of raw magnesium capacity in Chaohu, a new 100,000 tons of raw magnesium capacity in Wutai, and a new 300,000 tons of raw magnesium capacity in Qingyang. With the completion of these capacities, the company will have a scale of 550,000 tons of raw magnesium and 600,000 tons of magnesium alloy.
