Tesla adjusts Cybertruck production strategy to meet sales challenges

Faced with the sales challenge of Cybertruck, Tesla is taking a series of measures. According to Electrek, Tesla decided to convert some of the "Founder Edition" Cybertrucks originally planned to be produced for pre-order customers into regular versions and sell them at a lower price. In addition, Tesla plans to export hundreds of Cybertrucks made in the United States to the Canadian market. Due to recent signs of insufficient demand for Cybertruck, Tesla has notified production line employees at the Texas Super Factory to take leave and reduced leasing prices. To further stimulate sales, Tesla also directly reduced prices through the referral program. There are already many Cybertruck inventory vehicles that can be delivered immediately on the market, including a large number of "Founder Edition" models. These models are $20,000 more expensive than the regular version and include additional features and accessories. To solve this problem, Tesla plans to "de-found" a part of the "Founder Edition" Cybertruck, remove the special logo, so that it can be sold as a regular version at a lower price of $20,000. At the same time, Tesla also plans to modify more than 800 Cybertrucks to meet the regulatory requirements of the Canadian market and export them to Canada because Tesla believes that there is a broader sales potential in Canada.
