Russia's large wafer factory Angstrom-T declares bankruptcy due to debt problems

Angstrom-T, a well-known Russian chip manufacturer, declared bankruptcy in December 2024 due to its inability to repay debts of up to $9.9 million. Angstrom-T had attempted to develop competitive microchip production to supply Europe and other countries, as well as the domestic market. However, the company has been subject to sanctions by the United States and its allies since 2022, resulting in operational difficulties.
