The Importance of HBM

Compared with traditional memory chips, HBM chips are powerful mainly because of their larger storage space and faster data transfer speed. More importantly, HBM is indispensable for running increasingly complex AI applications (including generative AI), which are driven by AI processors such as graphics processing units (GPUs) produced by Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
