Toyota plans to use "giga foundry" process, first model to be launched in 2026

Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan has decided to use the "Giga Casting" process to combine many small automotive parts into a whole piece of formed aluminum, which can not only reduce the use of dozens of sheet metal parts, but also greatly simplify the manufacturing process. The first model built using the Giga Casting process will be launched in 2026, and the new car will debut under the Lexus brand.
