BYD has a team of more than 90,000 engineers and is one of the automobile companies with the largest number of R&D personnel in the world. It is this large R&D team that has enabled BYD to achieve major breakthroughs in all-solid-state battery technology. Over the years, BYD has applied for more than 48,000 patents worldwide and has more than 30,000 authorized patents, covering key areas such as batteries and electric vehicle technologies.
