In 2023, the total automobile sales in Southeast Asia will be 3.36 million, a slight decrease of 0.62% year-on-year. Among them, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia, as the main markets, contributed sales of 1.006 million, 841,000 and 800,000 vehicles respectively. In terms of new energy vehicles, Thailand accounts for more than 10%, while Indonesia accounts for only 1.7%, showing the importance of policy stimulus. Japanese automakers such as Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi dominate the Southeast Asian market, with a share of more than 70%. In Bali, Japanese cars and tourist vehicles such as Toyota Daihatsu and Suzuki can be seen everywhere. In addition, Wuling mini is also quite distinctive in the Indonesian market.
