Bosch boss Stefan Hartung has announced that a further 5,500 jobs will be cut in the core mobility division, most of them in Germany. This brings the group's planned job cuts to more than 12,000 within 12 months. The planned job cuts will affect the software sector, especially the development of autonomous driving technology. A total of 3,500 jobs will be lost here by 2027, half of which are in Germany. Bosch is now merging development departments to cope with severe overcapacity. Bosch's cross-domain computing solutions division includes a total of around 20,000 jobs, of which around a fifth will now be cut. In addition to the software business, in Germany, the steering business will cut 1,300 jobs between 2027 and 2032.
