Nissan plans to cut China auto production capacity by 30%

Nissan plans to negotiate with its Chinese joint venture to reduce its Chinese auto production capacity by up to 30%. This move is to cope with the problem of declining capacity utilization due to sluggish sales. Nissan's business in the Chinese market is mainly carried out through Dongfeng Nissan, which has eight assembly plants and currently has an annual production capacity of about 1.6 million units.
