In August 2023, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute released a new generation of 5.X liquid-cooled energy storage system products - CESS 2.0. Compared with the previous generation of products, CESS 2.0 has a capacity of 5.016MWh at the same size, a volume energy density increase of 34%+, a storage cabin area reduction of 30%+, a power consumption reduction of 10%, and a project construction cost reduction of 15%.
