The Weichai project consists of two parts, involving the manufacturing of power batteries and other core components.

The Weichai project is mainly divided into two parts. The first part is the strategic cooperation between Weichai Power and BYD to build a power battery R&D and manufacturing base, which will have an annual production capacity of 50GWh battery cells after completion. The second part is Weichai Power's construction of a manufacturing base for other core components of new energy vehicles, which will have an annual production capacity of 50GWh battery packs, 500,000 flat wire motors, 400,000 electronic controls and 50,000 electric drive assemblies after completion.
