BYD's performance in global markets faces challenges

In January 2024, BYD's battery installation capacity was 7.4GWh, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%, but its market share fell by 2.8 percentage points year-on-year to 14.4%. Although BYD is popular in the Chinese domestic market, its lead over the third-placed LG Energy Solution of South Korea has narrowed.
