US government raises tariffs on Chinese solar wafers, polysilicon

In order to protect its clean technology industry from the impact of cheap foreign supply, the US government has decided to increase import tariffs on Chinese solar silicon wafers, polysilicon and tungsten products. From January 1, 2025, the tariffs on solar silicon wafers and polysilicon will double to 50%, while the tariffs on tungsten products will increase to 25%.
