CATL plans to develop lithium battery recycling business

On January 29, 2023, CATL announced that its holding subsidiary Guangdong Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. will invest in the construction of an integrated new materials industry project in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The total investment of the project will not exceed RMB 23.8 billion, and it aims to establish an intensive and large-scale production base with the ability to recycle 500,000 tons of waste battery materials and manufacture related materials.
