Volvo Torslanda plant to invest SEK 10 billion in modernisation

Volvo Torslanda is undergoing a 10 billion Swedish kronor (about 1.1 billion U.S. dollars) modernization investment plan, which includes the introduction of an ultra-large die-casting cell. This die-casting cell will be used to produce the rear underbody of Volvo's next-generation electric vehicles. It is expected to produce more than 200,000 integrated die-casting parts per year, greatly improving production efficiency and product quality.
