Global electric vehicle power battery installation data released from January to October 2024

According to the latest data from South Korean research institute SNE Research, the installed capacity of electric vehicle power batteries sold worldwide (excluding China) from January to October 2024 is about 290.2GWh, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%. Although the market share of half of the companies has declined year-on-year, most companies still achieved positive growth in installed capacity. Among them, Chinese companies CATL, BYD and Sinotruk performed particularly well, with installed capacity reaching 76.6GWh, 11.7GWh and 6.2GWh respectively, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%, 142.9% and 372.1% respectively.
