China Automotive Research Institute and seven automakers issued the "ASEAN Road Traffic Safety Responsibility Declaration" during the "China-Malaysia Friendship Year"

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, on December 6, China Automotive Research Institute, together with the Malaysian Institute of Road Traffic Safety (MIROS) and seven Chinese automobile companies including Geely Auto, BYD, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, GAC Group, SAIC MG, Chery Automobile, and Great Wall Motor, issued the "ASEAN Road Traffic Safety Responsibility Declaration". The declaration aims to improve the level of traffic safety in the ASEAN region and promote the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry. MIROS also awarded the "ASEAN Vehicle Safety Outstanding Contribution Enterprise" award to China Automotive Research Institute and seven Chinese automobile companies.
