Marvell CEO denies rumor of being fired by Intel

Marvell CEO Matt Murphy has little interest in running a chip company that is ten times larger than his current one. Murphy has been considered since 2016 as a possible successor to recently ousted Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. This led to a rare situation where a CEO used his earnings call to deny rumors of his imminent firing. He said: "I am all in on this company."
