German car seat maker Recaro to be acquired by Italian investors

Recaro, a car seat manufacturer in Kirchheim/Teck, Germany, is about to be acquired by Italian investors. A spokesman announced on Thursday that production will be transferred to the Turin region of Italy and local production in Germany will be closed permanently. The buyer of Recaro Automotive is Proma Group, an automotive parts supplier with sales of 1.1 billion euros, which specializes in seat structures, body assemblies and chassis suspension.
