Volkswagen trials integrated die-casting rear body parts

Volkswagen successfully trial-produced the first rear body integrated aluminum die-casting prototype in May 2022. This prototype was produced using a 4,400-ton die-casting machine and was developed for the SSP platform. It can replace about 30 parts and reduce weight by 10kg.
