EU antitrust regulators are asking Nvidia rivals and customers whether the U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) chip maker bundles its products together in bundled sales that could give it an unfair advantage, according to people familiar with the matter, a move that could lead to a formal investigation. Nvidia has a near-monopoly of 84% of the market, far ahead of rivals Intel and AMD, and has attracted regulatory scrutiny from regulators in the EU, U.S., U.K., China and South Korea in recent years.
