OBD system becomes an important part of annual inspection of new cars

With the improvement of environmental protection requirements, the OBD system (on-board diagnostic system) has become an important part of the annual inspection of new cars. From May 1, 2019, my country began to implement the new national standard for automobile inspection, which explicitly requires OBD inspection for newly produced cars as well as registered and in-use cars. The OBD system mainly monitors the operating status of various systems and components of the vehicle, especially those related to emissions, such as the engine, catalytic converter, particulate filter, oxygen sensor, etc. Once the exhaust emissions are detected to be excessive, the system will sound an alarm.
