US utility Duke Energy stops using CATL batteries

Duke Energy, a U.S. utility, said recently that it plans to stop using energy storage batteries made by Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. at the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune under pressure from the U.S. Congress, and gradually stop using CATL's battery products in civilian energy storage projects. This move could lead to severe supply constraints for U.S. utility operators.
