Ji Chao is the Chief Scientist of iFlytek Robotics and the Assistant Dean of the Humanoid Robotics Research Institute of the University of Science and Technology of China. He is a PhD from the University of Science and Technology of China and a senior engineer. He is the Chief Scientist of Robotics at iFlytek Co., Ltd. and the CEO of Anhui Lingdong General Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. He is the Deputy Leader of the Humanoid Robotics Working Group of the National Robotics Standardization Technical Committee, a member of the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee of the National Standardization Committee and a member of the Humanoid Robotics Working Group. He is also a member of the Embodied Intelligence Working Group of the AIIA Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance, and the Executive Director of the Anhui Robotics Society and the Executive Director of the Humanoid Robotics Committee. He is a scarce talent in the "New Generation Information Technology" industry in Hefei, Anhui Province, and has obtained the qualification certification of "PMP" project management professionals from the Project Management Association of the United States. He is the head of the robot project of iFlytek's Super Brain 2030 Plan and one of the youngest general managers under the age of 35 in iFlytek companies. He has been committed to the key technologies and product development of robots and intelligent equipment hardware, involving cutting-edge directions such as human-computer interaction, embodied intelligence, and robot reinforcement learning motion control. He has nearly ten years of experience in robotics research and industry, and has experience in managing R&D projects worth tens of millions. The cumulative revenue of his related businesses has exceeded 100 million yuan. He has presided over and participated in many scientific research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and provincial and ministerial levels, and actively promoted the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in multimodal large models, embodied intelligence, and general robots. He led the team to release the industry's first quadruped robot based on multimodal reinforcement learning in 2022, and released the world's first embodied intelligent humanoid robot integrating domestic large models in 2023, which attracted great attention and coverage from the government and many media including CCTV. He also led the team to win the "Systematic Innovation Achievement Award", the highest honor of iFlytek Group, and was nominated for the group's highest individual award, the "Huaxia Innovation Award". He won the "Humanoid Robot Intelligent Innovation Award" at the first China Humanoid Robot Industry Conference (only three companies in China won the award).
