CATL and BMW Group sign long-term cooperation agreement

CATL announced that it will begin supplying cylindrical batteries for BMW Group's "new generation" architecture pure electric vehicles in the global and Chinese markets from 2026. This cooperation is based on a long-term agreement signed by the two parties in September 2022. According to the agreement, starting in 2025, CATL will supply cylindrical batteries for BMW Group's "new generation" architecture pure electric vehicles. CATL will produce new cylindrical batteries with a standard diameter of 46 mm in two battery factories in China and Europe, with an annual production capacity of 20GWh at each factory to meet BMW's demand for high-performance batteries.
