Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said that high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips used to develop complex artificial intelligence applications have been sold out in 2024, and most of the production capacity in 2025 has been booked. This is mainly due to the growth in demand for artificial intelligence servers, which has driven the rapid development of HBM, DDR5 and data center SSDs.
