Waymo self-driving cars operate in multiple cities, but face public trust issues

Alphabet's driverless taxi service Waymo is already operating in four cities in the United States: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Austin. This is the first time Waymo's self-driving Jaguar I-Pace electric crossover has carried passengers in a city. However, Waymo now plans to expand its business to Atlanta and Miami, but first it needs to deal with the problem of vandalism of its vehicles. There are many videos on social media of angry crowds smashing Waymo vehicles, setting them on fire and breaking their windshields in San Francisco.
