On February 18, the People's Government of Henan Province issued a notice to clarify the responsible units for key tasks in 2024. The notice proposed that it will focus on the development of advanced basic materials such as superhard and key metals, key strategic materials such as new batteries and energy storage, high-performance fibers, and high-purity quartz, as well as cutting-edge new materials such as functional diamonds, high-entropy alloys, and intelligent bionics. At the same time, it will focus on the integrated development of complete vehicles, parts, and aftermarkets, develop complete vehicles with Zhengzhou, the Aviation Port Area, Kaifeng and other places as the center, and focus on the development of key parts and components such as power batteries, motors and electronic controls, and automotive electronics in Luoyang, Xinxiang, Xuchang, and Hebi. In addition, it will promote the early production of projects such as the Zhengzhou SAIC New Energy Battery Factory and the Luoyang Zhongzhou Times New Energy Battery Industrial Base, and strive for Yutong, BYD, SAIC, Chery and other companies to produce and launch more best-selling models and mid-to-high-end models.
