New energy bus sales will drop sharply in 2023, only a quarter of the peak in 2016

According to the license plate data, the sales volume of new energy buses in 2023 is only one-fourth of the peak period in 2016, and the market has fallen to a freezing point. Although the sales volume in December increased by 95% month-on-month, it dropped by 59% year-on-year. The annual sales volume was 31,462 units, a year-on-year decrease of 40%, only 60% of that in 2022.
