South Korean police investigate a major technology outflow case

South Korean police said the economic value of the technology outflow case involving a former Samsung Electronics engineer was as high as 4.3 trillion won (about 3.04 billion U.S. dollars). If the relevant economic benefits are taken into account, the actual scale of the loss will be even greater. In addition to the former engineer, two representatives and legal persons of headhunting companies were also brought to justice for using the same method to poach Korean semiconductor talents. It is reported that these headhunting companies have poached more than 30 technicians.
