Ethernet switch components

Ethernet switches are usually composed of Ethernet switching chips, CPU, PHY, PCB, interface/port subsystems, etc. The key chips required for automotive Ethernet mainly include physical layer transceiver chips (PHY) and TSN switching chips (Switch). PHY chips: can be compared to signal base stations, which are chips that implement Ethernet physical layer functions, responsible for converting digital signals into signals suitable for transmission on physical media, and performing corresponding encoding and decoding; Switch chips can be compared to transportation hubs, as the core of network switching, responsible for forwarding data packets between different network nodes to achieve efficient data transmission.
