In-vehicle SerDes protocol

195
There are currently three types of public standards for the public protocols of in-vehicle SerDes: MIPI A-PHY, ASA-ML, and HSMT. In the MIPI A-PHY standard, Valens is an important contributor and the first manufacturer on the market to provide chipsets (VA7000 series) that comply with the A-PHY standard. The ASA Motion link (ASA-ML) specification is mainly promoted by BMW and Microchip. In March 2024, the BMW Group announced at the Automotive Ethernet Conference in Munich that it would introduce standardized ASA-ML in 2027. The HSMT standard is mainly promoted by domestic business owners such as Huawei. However, public protocols such as A-PHY, ASA-ML, and HSMT have not been finally frozen and are still being updated.
