NXP plans to build chip supply chain for customers in China

NXP executive vice president Andy Micallef revealed that the company is planning to build a chip supply chain for customers in China. China is the world's largest electric vehicle and telecommunications market, and NXP hopes to provide customers with production capabilities in China. Although NXP has a testing and packaging plant in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin, it does not have front-end manufacturing operations in China.
