Xiaomi Group Vice President Ma Ji resigns

Recently, it was revealed that Ma Ji, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of the new retail department in China, has left the company. At present, Ma Ji's name is no longer on the list of management teams on Xiaomi's official website. Ma Ji was born in 1978 and received a master's degree in computer science and engineering from Zhejiang University in 2022. He worked at Qihoo 360 from September 2010 to July 2013 as a product manager for mobile guards and mobile assistants. In 2013, Ma Ji joined Xiaomi Group, and he was responsible for MIUI Security Center, MIUI products, Xiaomi's international Internet business, etc. In December 2020, he was appointed general manager of Xiaomi Group's Internet Business Department, fully responsible for Xiaomi's global Internet product services and commercialization. In December 2022, Ma Ji was appointed vice president of Xiaomi Group and concurrently general manager of the Internet Business Department. In August 2023, Ma Ji was no longer in charge of the Internet Business Department. He began to serve as general manager of the New Retail Department in China and reported to Wang Xiaoyan, vice president of Xiaomi Group and president of China. In November 2024, there was news that Ma Ji was no longer involved in specific business in China and he was now on vacation.
