China launches "vehicle-road-cloud integration" application pilot to increase the installation rate of C-V2X vehicle terminals

China launched the pilot project of "vehicle-road-cloud integration" application for intelligent connected vehicles in 2024, with a pilot period from 2024 to 2026. The goal is to gradually increase the vehicle-side networking rate and ensure that 100% of the pilot vehicles are equipped with C-V2X vehicle terminals and vehicle digital identity certificate carriers. At the same time, it is encouraged to carry out C-V2X vehicle terminal installation transformation for public vehicles such as urban buses, official cars, and taxis, and the vehicle terminal installation rate of new vehicles reaches 50%.
